I've hesitated to jump into this thread because I knew it would become exactly what it has. But, I have to say, you weren't in the meeting at the MVP Summit when the announcement was made. You have no idea what was said by MVPs regarding the the decision, either for or against. You have no idea what Alan's replies were in response to the concerns or reservations expressed by the MVPs. So, you are speaking about something you have no direct knowledge about. It's known as hearsay. Please keep to the facts.

But what bothers me is the hesitancy on the part of the gurus to push *hard* on M$ to improve VFP and not kill it. Real criticism. I don't see much of that from too many of the gurus, though it varies, of course. Over the years, there's just been a tendancy to shout about all the new features and ignore the fact that they were purposefully letting the ship sink. It's kind of like in the media, where they beat up the beta of the new OS (when it's safe to do so), but when it

The level of frustration in this community has been high and I don't think the "gurus" communicated strongly enough with M$. Sorry. Not saying you haven't done some good things or helped people out, including me.
