I participated in a survey when we purchased the MSDN licenses and what disturbed me was that there was no primary tool = vfp question, but rather vfp fell into the 'other' category. They used their own percentage assumption of how much of the 'other' category meant vfp. I knew that was trouble back then and perhaps 'support vfp buy MSDN' wasn't such a good idea.

>>I'm curious... Ken Levy told us to buy MSDN rather than VFP. Choosing purely arbitrary numbers... say there were 100,000 VFP sales before Ken gave that advice. Say 50,000 buyers took Ken's advice and another 30,000 bought VFP as usual while another 20,000 migrated or decided to become bakers or whatever. How many VFP sales were there, what was the total revenue from VFP (doesn't MSDN cost a lot more than VFP alone?) and how could *anybody* count sales attributed to VFP? Certainly nobody ever asked me.

>I, too, wonder how they count MSDN sales. That said, have you really never been invited to do one of those Microsoft surveys that ask about what you use? I get them every now and then.
