Edward, I knew these things but was rushing and got sloppy here. You are right on about these two things; I selected the work area and in the LOAD event, placed the SET NEAR ON command.

It now works like a brand new Cadillac! :}

>First of all, you should select work area any time you issue SET ORDER or SEEK or EOF, etc. Also, make sure that you have SET NEAR ON.
