Hmmm...recompiling the project shouldn't prevent it from loading as long as the assembly is in the location specified by the .addin file.

So is your .addin file pointing to this folder (beware of the duplicate subfolder name where the project actually lives):

C:\Program Files\Mere Mortals .NET Framework 2005\MMBusinessLayerGenerator\MMBusinessLayerGenerator.dll

If that's all correct, try running this command from a Visual Studio Command prompt (make sure you close all instances of Visual Studio first):

devenv /setup
