Set the selIndent value *after* you set the ControlSource.

I'm running VFP 9 SP1 and I can bind the controlSource of the RTF at design time and as long as I set the selIndent in the init of the form it displays properly with the leading spaces. You can also set the ControlSource in the init of the form as you're doing. The key seems to be to set the selIndent value later.
