We produce a CD written in VFP3. We have been doing this for a few years and are currently in the process of having our 4th release pressed.

We basically install the EXE on the user's hard drive and leave the data on the CD. We have about 40 dbfs, cdxs, and fpts on the CD. The disk space it takes up is about 300 megs.

The performance is good. We do have to ask the user for their CD-Rom drive letter the first time they use the program. We store this is a table on their drive.
