For a while I was using two-way builders. I'd build a grid visually, then build code to generate that grid at runtime. If I had to do some fine-tuning (although most of it is easier to do in code), I'd use the same code to build the grid for editing, then in the end I'll re-create the code to create the grid in code. All of that because it's easier to reorder or optionally add columns (comment out code for a column, or bracket it with if/endif) in code, specially if they're of my own class.
