If you are waiting for someone else to "prove" God's existence to you before you choose to believe, you will have a long wait. Look what Christ said to the Parisees, Then certain of the scribes and of the Pharisees answered, saying, "Master, we would see a sign from thee." But he answered and said unto them, "An evil and adulterous generation seeketh after a sign; and there shall no sign be given to it, but the sign of the prophet Jonas: For as Jonas was three days and three nights in the whale's belly; so shall the Son of man be three days and three nights in the heart of the earth." Matthew 12:38-40
One need not go his/her whole life clinging to a "faith" with no proof of the reality in which he/she believes. What a desolate life that would be. God promises proof to the believer. This proof comes by way of subjective personal experience. I'm sorry but that is the way it is- by design. It is subjective.
Every man (woman) must make this trek alone. Like old Reverend Mr. Black used to sing, "You got to walk that lonesome valley. You got to walk it by yourself. Nobody else can walk it for you. You got to walk it by yourself."
But the reward of proof is given to the persistent. As Jesus said, "And I say unto you, Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you.
For every one that asketh receiveth; and he that seeketh findeth; and to him that knocketh it shall be opened.
If a son shall ask bread of any of you that is a father, will he give him a stone? or if he ask a fish, will he, for a fish, give him a serpent? Or if he shall ask an egg, will he offer him a scorpion? If ye then, being evil, know how to give good gifts unto your children: how much more shall your heavenly Father give the Holy Spirit to them that ask him?" Luke 11:9-13
(Sorry about the "Bible thumping".)
