Second to John. This Intuit argument has no basis in reality. None.

That's just Monty-Pythonesque contradiction. It has no basis in argument. None. ;-)

As for the rest: all I can say is that many of us here are capable of forming an opinion without needing to wait to see what others think and without having to put others down.

I'm also aware of NET groups whose members are interested in finding stuff out for themselves and telling the group about it. Certainly I like to attend meetings where there is "give and take" with everybody assisting to lift the expertise of the group to mutual benefit rather than relying on osmosis.

Finally: should you ever tell me of a public comment by a MS or Intuit executive that supports your position, I'll be interested to hear about it and certainly won't scoff and deny simply because I never heard it myself.

There, now I've had my final word as well. ;-)
"... They ne'er cared for us
yet: suffer us to famish, and their store-houses
crammed with grain; make edicts for usury, to
support usurers; repeal daily any wholesome act
established against the rich, and provide more
piercing statutes daily, to chain up and restrain
the poor. If the wars eat us not up, they will; and
there's all the love they bear us.
"
