>Why does Interdev take so long to fully open a web site? I have a client with a fairly large web site, and it takes about 30 minutes for Interdev to retrieve the entire site over a 56K or T1 line? I can open the same site in the Front Page editor in a matter of minutes. What's the deal? What is interesting is that there doesn't seem to be any network activitity for about 90% of the time that Interdev is loading the web site. This behaviour happens on all the machines that I use Interdev on, so I know it is not a problem with a specific machine.
What type of machine are you using (cpu speed, memory). Interdev takes a lot of cpu "horse power" and is a memory pig. I would hope you are running a Pent-II @ 233 or better with 64 Meg. If you are not using the version 6 beta then expect some additional slowdowns when you upgrade.
I tried interdev on a Pent MMX 166 with 16 Meg and it went to lunch. Ran decently when I up'ed memory to 32 as long as I didn't load to many pages at once.
