>It seems like I've ran across this before but it complete slips my mind here. For fun I'm trying to import from some a CSV file into a vfp dbf.

I didn't know CSV files could do that! And I'm perplexed on how to convert it to a dbf. I tried saving it from excel to a dbf, that just truncated the "memo" text field, I also tried create a three column table with the first being of type MEMO and doing an append from type CSV. Neither of those techniques worked. I supposed I could use Automation with excel and grab the data that way, but isn't there an easier way to do this???

I've looked around and haven't found anything. I have so much stored in my palm device, and I can't stand how I can't do advanced searches from within the palm desktop software. I don't want to by Yet another pocket pc device and use windows CE compact framework with outlook, because I can't stand any of the latest Pocket pc devices as they seem pretty cheap quality and I am infuriated with battery life. My trusty palm IIIx works like a charm for 5 years now and it's the AAA batteries last forever between changing them. I just hate the lack of advanced searches (boolean, etc) that the palm os and palm desktop don't offer.
