sure, I can do that, but why do I need to and why the same routine works under vfp6? Doesn't this mean MS team changed something in VFP9 that this functionality is no longer works properly? I believe this problem is not about Y2K compliance but more on what changed! BTW, the simple solution is to switch to append from type delimited.
