I don't mind hearing that at all John :-). I just knew something whacko was going on 'cause I knew it should work.
Well, this is a very fresh installation of VFP (coupla weeks) - and Nancy gets the same result as me - the ctrl characters actually make it to the edit box. I'm really *very* keen to solve this. Guess I'll try to re-install if all else fails.

Here's a wild guess - are you running Internet Explorer 4.01 latest SP ? It overwrote a whole bunch of dlls in the system directory. Could be the Windows environment???
