If that is the case, then Naomi needs to be removed as a moderator. Addtionally, the UT mgt. should not allow passwords to be viewed. Passwords can be reset, but now viewed. That's a basic security precaution that should be employed everywhere. It sounds like that rule was being ignored by the UT.


Excellent point. The bomb throwing can and should stop, and I salute Andy for issuing a cease fire. But there are still issues Michel should address. Personally I would love to see a statement from him about the UT's privacy policies. What can be viewed and by whom? I must say it was disconcerting to learn recently that sysops (or moderators, as they're called here) can and do edit the posts of others. Only to correct typos and HTML tags, it was said, but it made me wonder. For whatever reason I have long suspected private messages are less than private here, which is why I am reluctant to use them.

Can you give us such a policy statement, Michel? IMO this is a perfectly reasonable question given all the privacy laws these days.
