>Please God, don't let this episode suck...
Such a positive attitude! LOL
I will be watching as well, and it is now half an hour away.
I don't try to predict this show. In fact one of the things I like about it is that it's so unpredictable. For whatever reason I think this is going to be one of the relatively "quiet" episodes. And that there will be fireworks in the finale next week, even though they won't wrap everything up in a tidy bow. David Chase has said often enough that he doesn't think life is like that. I would be shocked if he tried to dot the I's and cross the T's. In interviews he has been openly amused at fans who still ask him what happened to the Russians.
It's never been completely unpredictable. Things seldom happen for random reasons. Events often tie back or forward to other episodes. But it does have the feel of life, which in no way resembles the tidy structures of most television series.
Great cover on the latest New Yorker -- a drawing of Tony walking out of Dr. Melfi's office. Somehow, without words, that hammered home the finality of this even more than I have been (obviously) feeling.
Curious question to all Sopranos fans: which character do you think is most like you?
