Windows 2003 Server
As you said, since version 8 PostgreSQL has a native windows install, instead of the old Cygwin route.
We will take a closer look at Oracle and chek it out Fyrebird. I wanted to settle on one database to use stored procedures, but maybe we will have to settle in one commercial DBMS and other FOSS.
Thanks

SAPDB was very complicated and needed special hardware / OS which small clients generally don't have. FireBird became my choice because it has a very small footprint, generators, stored procedures, FB2 is more secure in terms of user security, non/low-tech installer, in short it is VFP like but it is yet an RDBMS.
