Neither. The Printer Environment saved with reports has been source of the different kind of problems with report printing long before VFP9. VFP9 Report Writer always respects this info. It allows to set it with SYS(1037) interactively or programmatically.
You can open each report in the Report Designer, uncheck Printer Environment on the Report menu and save it.
