For what it's worth ...

I use VFP with Oracle at my present client and it's great ... both using SQL pass-thru (SQLConnect() and SQLExec()) and stuff like remote views. They also use a third-party SQL interface called Toad for when you need to talk to Oracle directly. Life would be even better if they used VFP 9 with it's lovely SQL improvements but I'm unfortunately stuck with 7 ...
