>>>That's not good enough. Martin is not the UT owner. Michel is. How do we know that Martin knows this for sure just because he can't see passwords? This has gone beyond Naomi, who has apologized, and beyond Andy, who has not apologized for some questionable actions on his part, and has become a larger issue. The issue now is this: Will Michel answer questions from users about security precautions the UT has in place? The answer seems to be no. To me, this is disrespectful to his users and arrogant, IMHO.

>>I have been a member here going on 10 years or so.... I've learned a few things over the years, and one is, that Michel couldn't give 2 flips about what anyone wants, thinks or demands. He'll do what he thinks is good for himself and his business, which on one hand is good, and the other not.

>Are you an actual paying member? I didn't have any giant issues with Michel up until now, but I think this is a callous disregard for the UT users. I did have minor issues with the interface here and his responsiveness on that and a general feeling about his attitude (but that varied). In the last few years, I have participated more on this site, but this lingering feeling has kept me from being a consistent paying member. Recently I was considering paying for a year's subscription since I was getting a better feeling for Michel and the UT in general, but now this crops up. I'm not going to join a site that ignores its users/members.

I was a PUTM for the first couple of years, then Michel started charging for the extras like the magazine, etc. Then a few years ago, the collateral noise on the site became the norm, a number of nut cases moved in, the fee's kept rising till it reached the point where the benefits of PUTM were no longer worth the cost and I no longer felt that the site was worth paying for. There were a few things where I felt Michel was non-responsive and uncommunicative so I voted with my dollars. The recent events are indicative of how Michel feels about his "valued" customers.
