There is actually a Delphi.NET. It works much like other .NET languages dependent on CLR. The claim that most of C# apps are being converted to Delphi is just plain hearsays or maybe some are doing it but it's a mistake IMO. While Delphi is good, it can not surpass the many advantages of C# overall. Most of the VFP programmers here are into JAVA or C#. But since Philippines is a Microsoft country, most are going to the latter.

BTW, is it true that the trend of application development in the Philippines is that "a lot of customers who have applications develop in C# wants to re-writes in Delphi? I heard this from my colleauge who is currently in the Philippines. He even forwarded an email regarding the conversion from C# to Delphi. And my colleauge will be the one to do the re-write. Im not quite sure if its tru or not.

But on the other hand, I see a remarkable development tool being cast aside and that bothers me. I have always viewed VFP as a possible Oracle killer, but MS never went after Oracle which to this day baffles me.
