Since I started using SDT many, many years ago, I have NEVER again had any database/table synchronization, index or memo problems. SDT does this checking/modifying painlessly and quickly against meta data every time the application starts. It is an extra utility, yes, but it works seamlessly with VFP.

>In 15 years with thousands of users and hundreds of VFP installations I only have to deal with this very occasionally. Most of the times it was fixed easily by an application that goes with the installation and checks the integrity of the DBF. Certainly not something that is my number one worry.

>>I just had a DBC corruption yesterday just by adding a new relation (could not open it anymore, had to resort to an out-of-date backup) and you say that the whole weakness things about DBC/DBF is just a theory? You're just plain lucky if you never had a VFP table/database corruption.

>>>On the other side I disagree about DBC/DBF weakness theory. When properly set/programmed you will not hv ANY problems. Fact that meny people did not bother to take advantage of buffering/transactios and this way increased data reliability is another story.
