It can affect VFP. If you use an activex control on a form, the activex control's GUID is embedded in the form. Then, install some software that installs a new version of the OCX. You then include the OCX in your setup, but the GUID of the ActiveX control is not the same as the GUID of the OCX, so you get an error. The way to fix this is to modify your form and delete the ActiveX control. Then, place the new version of the activex control on your form so that it will update the GUID in the form.
