>>>LOL!! I *swear* he was not like that when I married him and my my family and friend agree with that. He changed his personality 180 degrees several years ago .. and it wasn't for the better.

>>Marriage is a weird institution. Few of us wind up with the person we thought we were marrying or the person we hoped they would turn into. The whole idea of being monogamously with someone for decades, till death do us part, seems to me contrary to human nature.

Ken;
Katy and I will celebrate our 42nd wedding anniversary on December 30th. We should start a club! :)
I can remember seeing Roy Rogers and Dale Evans being interviewed on television December 31, 1993, which was the day of their 46th wedding anniversary. Roy Rogers said, “A successful marriage is 80% give and 20% take"!
I think that in the United States too many couples think, “Its all about me”! You have to work with your spouse to have a good marriage. Some people do not understand that nor do they wish to expend the effort.
In 1970 we knew 12 couples that we would go out with. Within a few years only 2 of those couples remained married and still are.
I have a cousin who was married 6 times. She has the record for our family!
