>As long as she's going to make the world better, I'm ok with it. I mean, who knows? Maybe she'll discover a cure for polio or something. ;)

Well if she does, polio isn't all that much of a problem nowadays, is it. I mean you rarely see a kid in leg-irons (not even the ones outside pharmacies where you stick a coin in the slot on their heads) - well, you may see temporary teachers wearing leg-irons, for accidentally letting porn pop up on school computers, but not the polio type! :-)

>>The punishment Paris received (from the original sentence to the current ridiculous sentence) is indeed too minor for her offense. In many states, if she were not Paris Hilton, she would have had the book thrown at her and it would have stuck.
>>
>>However, in LA County, the average sentence for her crime is 1-2 days spent in jail total. That is sad, but that is the reality there. In essence, she received a much harder sentence than the typical American with the same offense - even given her ankle bracelet.

>>>Hey, c'mon. Appears it was time well spent.

>>>Hilton's lawyer, Richard A. Hutton, said Monday after his client's first night in jail that she was doing well under the circumstances. "She's using this time to reflect on her life, to see what she can do to make the world better and hopefully, in my opinion, to change the attitudes that exist about her among many people," Hutton said after visiting his client.
>>>
>>>See? She's going to make the world better now. How many people are willing to do that (not counting Miss America contestants).
