I have to admit watching Duncan, Parker and Ginobili was a real pleasure even though they were doing it to my Cavs. Great defense is impressive and what they did to James was just a good old box. The Cavs were only as good as they've been this year because Browne learned how to coach defense from Popovich. I like the idea of getting a lot of scoring out of the supporting cast in the first half and then turning James loose in the second, but I don't think they appreciated the Spurs aren't the Pistons. Bad 3rd quarter again.

Tony Parker was very impressive. That whole game was a lot more inside and in the paint than anything the Cavs have seen in the playoff (meaning the Spurs got inside their D )

I think the Cavs will do much better in the second game and I think they can still take it, but in any case they'll be a much better team for having done this. Look how young they are. Varejao is 23, Gibson 21, James 23. If they had been playing Western conf. caliber teams all season they'd be at a whole different level.

Should be interesting. I just like to see great players like Duncan and James who know how to pass and assist.

>>>Two of my favorites active players, Duncan and James, are playing.

>>>Spurs in 6.

>>I change my earlier pessimism. Cavs in 6 - James for the record-books. Remember, Cavs beat them twice in the regular season. And the Cavs are younger spin-off of the Spurs.

>>This is going to be some great basketball in any case.

>I was thinking maybe LaBrons James would do to the Spurs what Wade did to the Mavericks last year. But I realized one difference... Tim Duncan. Dallas doesn't have anyone like him.

Though a good deal is too strange to be believed, nothing is too strange to have happened.
- Thomas Hardy

Half the harm that is done in this world is due to people who want to feel important. They don't mean to do harm-- but the harm does not interest them. Or they do not see it, or they justify it because they are absorbed in the endless struggle to think well of themselves.

-- T. S. Eliot
Democracy is two wolves and a sheep voting on what to have for lunch.
Liberty is a well-armed sheep contesting the vote.
- Ben Franklin

Pardon him, Theodotus. He is a barbarian, and thinks that the customs of his tribe and island are the laws of nature.
