Strangely, I agree. For the record, what would be a normal sentence for somebody caught driving with a suspended license a second time after having had it suspended for dui? Would there be a sentence at all normally, or just more fines?

PMFJI...I have heard that there would be more fines, but probably not a sentence. I am NOT a Paris fan, but from what I've heard, at least in some states, there would be additional penalties but not 30 days in jail.
