Actually, a variable error in the report would not cause FRX2Word to create an empty file because the FRX is not preprocessed so, therefore, the doc would have already been started and bands processed for printing. Unless the variable error was really heinous and affected the entire report.

There is a debugging call available in the class (the event name escapes me) to help resolve issues.
