I don't recall any blanket statements saying every VFP app can be easily done in .NET. I could be wrong. I believe even Kevin has said that some things are easier in .NET, and some things are more challenging.
I think that most VFP apps can be written in .NET, and can be re-engineered to run well. You don't use .NET the same way you use VFP, so of course things are going to be done differently.
Now take that last paragraph and flip VFP and .NET.
