A statement like that really says, "What I think is right, and what you think is wrong. My opinion is better than yours". It's on that where we disagree.

>That's a non sequitur.

How do you figure that? You are clearly asserting that your definition of when life starts is the correct one, and that others who feel differently are wrong. What other inference can I draw from a statement like we talk about how we cherish life......it's just all talk. If you accept that other opinions about when life begins are viable, then that statement makes no sense at all.

If I said, "why are you so worried about getting rid of something that is just a collection of cells". Would it be a non sequitur to assume I'm telling you that you are wrong about it being 'life'? Personally, I don't think it would.

>Yes, we all cherish and value human life. My point is, it seems to me that we pick and choose which life is more worthy for our own convenience. It just weird to me that we're so passionate about capital punishment. But ending a helpless innocent life of an unborn child, some of us just turn away and look the other way.

And there it is again. That 'which life is more worthy' and 'innocent life of an unborn child'. There are people who believe that a fetus is not yet a viable life, and with a few words you are telling them, not only that they are wrong, but that they are murderers in the bargain. Who knows, maybe you are right and they are wrong, but then again, maybe not.

>So, if you think that some is relatively "uncommon" it's ok?

>I said I would argue over this, so I won't.

A discussion doesn't necessarily have to be an argument.
