>>Monk is one of my favorite shows. I really enjoy it and it is one of the few shows that I will actually spend time searching the schedules to see when it is on.

>I think it's an excellent show. Tony Shalhoub is incredible. I can't see anybody else doing that part justice. Unfortunately I can't get any of the station it's on.

>>What about 24? I never watch 24 on tv but wait for the whole season on DVD. Then I watch it back to back like an addict.

>Again, I watched a couple of episodes back when it started, but I can't seem to get myself involved in a show that demands I watch it every week, or that I spend hours and hours watching an entire season. The shows I like begin and end in the hour and I don't have to care much if I miss the next few episodes. Certainly on many shows of that type the characters sort of evolve, but still the show doesn't demand continual worship. A show I particularly like is called 'Bones'. I like all of the characters on the show and I watch it if I'm available, but even then, I miss lots of episodes.

GOD I wish I hadn't got into "Prison Break"! We're just coming up to the end of the 2nd season this week and I fear there's gonna be another one. After all this time, and missing inevitabley the odd epo, I've TOTALLY lost the plot, haven't got a clue who they're talking about when they mention a name, and can't wait for Teabag to get his come-uppance.

>>I watched 2 or 3 episodes of the Sopranos and never got 'hooked' but did enjoy it. I would probably watch it the way I watch 24 rather than each week.

I've totally missed the whole of the last series cos they took it off mainstream TV and onto a digital channel, and I can't be arsed searching for shows. Trouble is once a series ends there's such a big lag till the next one.I suppose we're still a series behind you.

And I was just getting into Lost when Sky pinched it off Channel 4 (one of our terrestrial channels).

The new BBC/HBO series of "Rome" is coming soon and I guess that's already been aired over there.

And as for 24!!! what series is it now? I lost it after series 2!

Like you, Alan, I can't be arsed getting into these series any more - ain't enough hours in the week, or you get p!ssed off when they move it to another channel.
