>I don't believe that you misunderstood me to such an extent that you think that your innocent copy and paste may change the topic. It is not about who will find more web links to fit the argument. It is about more serious thing.
>My point was that you willingly use 50-years old link to justify and support words and deeds of today's extremism. I don't question your right to have these opinions. However, you should not expect from me any resemblance of respect to your views.
Well, 50 years is not justifiable, 2000 is.
I'm not defending Persians as such - they do have enough of it that makes me wish to not just never live there, but never even visit the place. I am, however, defending the principle that countries are equal and sovereign. As much as the golden rule should apply among people, so it should among countries.
And I'm not talking about terrorism - which is a cowardly version of a poor man's war. I can respect a honest guerilla, which may apply same techniques against occupator's army, but not against civilians. I'm talking about the plain fact that when the golden rule is violated, it causes consequences down the road. Pretending that the other side has forgotten is pretending there's nothing to be learned from history.
I also have no respect for islamic set of rules - they are just another religion trying to rule the others.
BTW, the source is Encyclopaedia Britannica online. You've shown sufficient respect by responding, I didn't expect more.
