I have a client that just loaded Dragon Naturally Speaking version 9 and is now having problems in VFP8 applications. They had previously used Naturally Speaking 5 and 8 without this problem.

If Naturally Speaking is running and then they load any of the VFP8 applications, VFP will crash when they access the topline menu. I asked them to test by stopping the app and then stop Naturally Speaking. Then load the app and it works fine. These are both Windows XP Professional computers. If we load the VFP8 application first and then load Naturally Speaking VFP8 gets the error just sitting there before Naturally Speaking completes loading. Then Naturally Speaking completes loading and works fine.

The error is "error exception c00000005" It also stores a copy of the error message in the vfp8rerr.log file

I am suspecting that Naturally Speaking is using a dll that VFP8 finds to be in memory when it loads and so VFP8 is not running with the correct version of the dll. If Naturally speaking finds the dll in memory it has it reloaded causing the exception in the VFP8 app.

Is anyone having a similar problem or knows where to go next.
