YES!! It worked! (I also had to set the Half-height-caption
property back to false.)

It makes sense now that you spell it out for me. Any option
which is going to reside on the caption bar (even the
ability to move the form) will cause the caption bar to be
created.

Now (if you don't mind) another question...

I would like my main forms to come up immediately below
the statusline. No need to move them around as their
won't be enough play on an 800x600 screen. So I would
just like to specify their starting position. I just
tried setting auto-center to false and specifying a
Top property of 55 and a Left of 0. But this still
left a gap of about 20 pixels between the form and the
statusline.

I'm going to go play with it some more.
