We've been having a problem with automating Word running on Vista and need some help.

When our VFP application calls Word, the Word window does not appear, although it is visible on the Windows taskbar. We are using the visible and windowstate properties to make sure the Word window appears.

In our testing, the code works fine on all other operating systems except Vista. It doesn't appear to matter what version of Office you are running (we tested Office 97, 200, XP and 2007).

I suspect it has something to do with Windows Defender in Vista. Has anyone else had this issue?
