And the sensation of someone somewhat squeezing your throat. Oh well, people adapt. It's really amazing how people can and do adapt to less than optimal circumstances. Most fully healthy people are frightened to get seriously sick or handicapped. And right they are, but there are handicaps and handicaps, and with most of them people can deal in the long run, implying that they will regain control and enjoy life again.
