Mike, oh yeah you're a real funny guy. ;-)
I agree, things round here were increasingly crossing the line and if I can't be part of the solution, I certainly don't want to be part of the problem. That's it. Nothing that was ever fired at me was of great concern- in fact, being called a "dunce" by a certain person had a quite different impact from what he intended(!) but the good parts were becoming few and far between and in the end I found myself trying to re-steer matters to technical issues over and over, without success. That's hopeless, so I've stepped out of the room and closed the door. Mom would be proud, right? ;-)
"... They ne'er cared for us
yet: suffer us to famish, and their store-houses
crammed with grain; make edicts for usury, to
support usurers; repeal daily any wholesome act
established against the rich, and provide more
piercing statutes daily, to chain up and restrain
the poor. If the wars eat us not up, they will; and
there's all the love they bear us."
-- Shakespeare: Coriolanus, Act 1, scene 1
