I do not think it would make a good Alpha release! :)

I once worked for a small software company that did not believe in SQA. Test nothing and ship it! I advised the president to test the product. His response: “Let the customers tell us what is wrong”! The customers did and the company went out of business.

Perhaps you could say, "Vista is ahead of its time"? :)
