I decided to give up on this Thinkpad T61 that has Vista on it because I think many of the problems I'm running into are NOT Vista related. I think they still have some work to do on their drivers for this model and Vista.

I think I'm going to go back to an Apple Macbook Pro and install XP in one VM and Vista in another. Athough I'm not a big machead, I do appreciate the ability to experiment with OS X and still be able to run XP and Vista.

I'm also having a problem running Cisco's VPN client in Vista and getting connected consistently. One time it works, the next time it doesn't. In XP it always works.

The trials and tribulations of being a software developer never end...
