We did the same except I think we used the zinc from old flashlight batteries and the acid out an old car battery. I don't know how we made it without seat belts or bike helments but with plenty of lead base paint for all. In the summer every kid in the area would line up on their bikes and wait for the DDT truck to come through spraying for mosquitos so we could ride into the fog.

It worked fine but the bottle became a bit hot after a while. BTW the mixture might disolve your hand if you get some on it. And that was just the simple stuff we did ;-)
