Instead of calling a procedure, do conditional statements below activate popup directly.
ON SELECTION POPUP mypopup 
ACTIVATE POPUP mypopup

DO CASE
CASE BAR() = 0
     blah...
CASE BAR() = 1
     blan...
ENDCASE

RELEASE POPUP mypopup
