Most likely, personal preferences. I like my own resizing better than anchoring. I often just drop a control to approximate location and then call Resize from Form.Init to do the job. Also, I don't think that anything except grids, list and editboxes (and their parent containers) should be resized, but the resizing should not be necessarily proportional (e.g. some min. height/width should be preserved etc.) i.e. I should do it programmatically.
