The index are created when you receive the response from the INDEX command. Having to compare 2 dates for each join does have a hit in performance. I know it may require a lot of work and may not be possible, but having a foreign key in Table1 (FK_Table2) may improve performance. I don't have any more ideas on your current query, sorry :(
