i have a similar routine that uses the items.add() method.

oOutlook = CREATEOBJECT("Outlook.APPLICATION")
oNameSpace = oOutlook.getnamespace('MAPI')
oContactFolder=oNameSpace.GetDefaultFolder(olFolderContacts)
oItems = oContactFolder.items
scan
	oContact = oitems.add()
	with oContact
		etc etc
		.save()
	endwith

endscan
