Hello Cetin,

>I agree wholeheartedly.
>Unfortunately we don't have user groups:(
>It's very hard to get those books. In my life I could only have 2 VFP related books. The first one was "Hacker's Guide to VFP3.0" by Tamar and Ted. I had to wait nearly a month after purchasing and paid a lot (shipping international) but it is worth every penny.
>Despite what Tamar says in foreword, I read it literally from cover to cover:) Thanks to Tamar and Ted once again for such a great book which made my transition to VFP from fox2x much easier.
>Second was Cindy Winegarden's "Study Guide" which she kindly gifted one to me signed during 2002 Devcon (so both attending a conference and book was accomplished:)

Sorry you don't have a local user group. Maybe you could start one in Turkey?

As for the books, most or all of the Hentzenwerke publications are available as e-books. As a matter of fact, the 'book' that solved my problem (Taming Visual FoxPro's SQL) is only available as an e-book. I printed it out and had it bound at my favorite local quick-copy shop. And when Tamar was in town, I had it autographed - it was the first time she had seen it in print on paper!

So I hope you find that shipping for an e-book is very fast and inexpensive.

Enjoy!
