Hi Renoir,

Methinks some graphics programs may have the option to paste (overwriting part of the existing image), to paste into a new image (a new image is created, with the clipboard contents), or both. Perhaps a look at the menu items can clarify this in the individual case.

Also, make sure you actually have a graphics in the Clipboard, e.g., you just pressed PrintScreen.
