I have the LG CU500 and downloaded this. It looks promising, but when I type something in the textbox and click on the Go button, nothing happens. Other things seem to work, but I'm not sure what is supposed to happen with that. I thought it would look up whatever I typed.
>Microsoft has something new for WM5 and WM6 devices called "Live Search" - which is AWSOME. It has mapping and is GPS aware. I don't know if it's "officaly" out or not yet - but I've had it for months and I quit using all the other mapping proggys I had in favor of this one. It's freeware and if MS hasn't released it yet you can find it on the internet easy enough.

>>Hi Bonnie, you might want to read this. Your son may want an alternative to MSFT Streets & Trips for his phone...

>>>Speaking of phones, my oldest son has been calling me every day for a week, yakking my ear off asking about what kind of phone he should get. How the heck should I know?!? He said "Well, you're a geek and you know geeky stuff, so you should know about this. And even if you personally don't, you have lots of other geeky friends who might know". So, I guess I'm looking for recommendations. <g>
>>>
>>>He needs this for his work. He's a P.I. He takes his notebook computer with him in the car and he's usually got stuff loaded up on Streets & Trips, for where he has to go that day. He'd love to be able to have a phone with GPS that would be able to use his Streets & Trips software easily (upload his current maps to the phone from the computer ... I suppose that's not totally necessary, but it would be nice) ... he definitely needs the GPS though. Also, he wants to be able to use the phone as a wireless access point for his computer. The phone should also have keyboard input, not touch screen (yuck to the iPhone).
>>>
>>>Anyone have any recommendations so I can get him off my back? <g>
