Yes you do. Then Sergey's (and of course Naomi and Borislav's) suggestion would work just fine.
PS: You don't need to create the index descending. You can make it desc anytime you want. Something like:
index on bintoc(recId)+dtos(dField) tag myTag
use childTable in 0 order tag myTag descending
select Parent
set relation to bintoc(recId) into childTable
