I have no idea what this program does.
But you can rename the .cdx, then open the table. It will error out, but it will erase the "this table has a structural index" bit from the table's header, and the second time it will open.

Because they are using Unicode, which VFP cannot do. It can, however, do one codepage at a time. If your plan is to keep multiple languages in the same table(s), you may look at Rick Strahl's articles, it was mentioned at least twice this week.
