Sounds like it may be localized to the VFP uninstall, however I once made the mistake of installing Norton SystemWorks. It completely hosed all installs. They all failed at approx. 75% done. It also hosed all uninstalls including itself. The "manual" uninstall from Norton said "do this and that and then run the uninstall" (what a bunch of goobers). Guess who reformatted his hard drive and reinstalled everything. Guess who will never use SystemWorks again. Is anything similar possible in your case?
