On my honeymoon in 1999 I went to Bodrum. Very nice city (you have to visit the castle). Very friendly turkish people over there. This year I went to kusadassi (Not sure whether I spelled ok), to an aqua fantasy park (yeah the kids loved it).

The only thing that annoys me about turks in those tourist places is that they all are trying to pull you into their store or restaurant. If they do that, I just refuse to buy something there.
